Raining Thunder Weigh-in Coverage
The Shadeh NightClub inside the Buffalo Thunder Resort & Casino hosted the Legacy Boxing Promotions “Raining Thunder” weigh-in’s. Weights, video, & photos below.
The 9-bout Boxing cards is headlines by Santa Fe’s own Joaquin Zamora squaring off with, on 5-days notice, Guadalajara, Mexico’s Josque Obando, a 43-fight bet.
Unfortunately nearly the entire blue corner, 8 of 9 fighters failed to make weight on the first attempt. Due to issues with language in the fight contracts only Samantha Salazar cut weight after failing to do so on the first attempt. The third time Samantha Salazar took to the scale she successfully hit the contracted maker of 115 lbs. making her ABF Super Flyweight Title bout against Amy Salinas official.
The other 7 fighters who missed weight didn’t cut weight, instead the party that made weight gained weight as to close the gap in difference, in order to gain commission approval.
