Vannata vs. Diakiese set for Copenhagen
A Lightweight bout between explosive Lightweight “Groovy” Lando Vannata & Marc “Bonecrusher” Diakiese has been added to UFC Fight Night 160.
Vannata is a New Jersey native fighting out of Jackson’s Acoma. Just over 3-years ago Vannata made his UFC debut on short notice in an epic encounter with Tony Ferguson. So far Vannata’s most memorable moment inside the octagon came at UFC 206, when he knocked out John Makdessi with a Spinning Wheel kick. The 27-year-old picked up his first submission win just over 4-years, defeating Marcos Mariano by Kimura at UFC 234.
Diakese started his UFC career 2-0, including a TKO victory in his debut at UFC 204. The 26-year-old then went on a 3-fight skid, that was halted by a decision win over Joseph McDuffy at UFC Fight Night 147. Diakiese comes in with 6 of his 7 stoppage wins by knockout.
UFC Fight Night 160 is September 28th at Royal Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark.
