Holmes Boxing Presenting Havoc Showdown Nov. 1st

November first, Holmes Boxing will be back in Albuquerque for Havoc Showdown. Currently a 6-fight card, that will be headlined by Antonio “Tone” Martinez against Miquel “El Coyote” Gallegos.

Martinez (10-5-5) an Espanola, NM, native, who we last saw in action in January defeating Pablo Bates by unanimous decision, comes in with a 60% knockout rate. Gallegos (5-1) is a Durango, Colorado, native with 80% of his wins by decision, coming off a win over Joseph Barela. Both fighter will be stepping out of their comfort zones, as this will be Martinez’s first fight not at Buffalo Thunder since 2013, according to Boxrec, and the first for Gallegos away from Sky Ute Casino.

After consecutive shows at Embassy Suites, Holmes Boxing is heading slightly north, up I-25 for “Havoc Showdown”, which will take place at the Marriott Pyramid North.

The co-main event is between two fighters. Former MMA champion for King of the Cage, Donald Sanchez takes on, Belen, NM brawler, Derek “Rage” Perez. Sanchez (4-2) started off his full commitment to Boxing in August, making short work of Isaac Sifuentez at Holmes Boxing’s “Worlds Collide”. Always down to exchange the leather, Perez (2-12) has competed in; MMA, Boxing, & Bare Knuckle. Perez’s most recent boxing victory came by decision over Marty Gutierrez. 

In women’s action, the Duke City’s own, Jordanne “OMG” Garcia faces Sonya Drelining, an Atlanta, GA, resident, by way of Greeley, Colorado. Garcia (4-0-1) is unbeaten after 5 professional fights, her last two wins have come by decision over Karina Mendoza. Dreiling (1-0) as an amateur won nationals twice and made a successful pro debut in August, defeating Kara Wiggins by decision.

The card will also see, in a bout that could be fought in a phone booth, Rio Rancho’s “Irish” Bryant McClain battles, Power & Glory product, Lorenzo Benavidez (3-1) from Albuquerque. Maurice “The Hulk” Jackson (2-0) a JacksonWink fighter, who made his way to ABQ from Chicago, is set to clash with Sidiah “Rolling Thunder” Parker (0-0). Parker, a FIT NHB fighter, who came to ABQ by way of Blanding, Utah.  Opening up the card will be, Power & Glory’s, Santiago Giron (1-0); coming off of a first round TKO in his pro debut against Santiago Amaro (0-0), who’ll be making his pro debut.
