Results for Event 8 of the 2019 PFL
The second event of the 2019 Professional Fighters League playoffs, event eight, takes place at the Mandalay Bay Event Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The action features Lightweights (155 lbs.) & Featherweights (145 lbs.).
For the 2019 season of the PFL, the promotion has chosen to include Heavyweights, Light Heavyweights, Welterweights, Male Lightweights, Female Lightweights, & Featherweights. The PFL playoffs are an original format where everyone has their sights set on getting to the finals, and battling for the championship belt & 1 Million dollars. To get to the finals you must win twice in one night. The quarterfinals are a two-round fight, while the semifinals are a regular three-round contest.
The winner of the Lightweight division in 2018, Brazil’s Natan Schulte, comes in as this year’s number one seed at 155 lbs. The 2018 winner of the Featherweight, Lance “The Party” Palmer, is also back to defend his throne after tallying the most points of all the featherweights during the regular season.
