Emmers vs. Barosa Headlines LFA 81
Super Bowl weekend LFA is in Southern California for LFA 81 and the main event is set for a featherweight contest between fighters that have previously been featured on “Dana White: Lookin’ for a Fight”.
The bout will see Jamall “Pretty Boy” Emmers (16-4) against Rafael “Coxinha” Barosa (12-2). Emmers is one of three fighters to have competed Legacy FC, RFA, & LFA . The “Pretty Boy” was on season 1, episode 7 of “Dana White: Lookin’ for a Fight” defeating Corey Sandhagen by unanimous decision at LFA 5. In the summer of 2018, Emmers got a chance at a UFC contract on “Dana White’s Contender Series”. Emmers is 2-0 in the LFA and currently on a three-fight win streak. All three wins have come by TKO.
Barosa was on season 4 episode 1 of “Dana White: Lookin for a Fight”, defeating Cameron Graves by decision at LFA 63. The 22-year-old Brazilian is a Fábio Simões karate black belt, who has trained extensively with the Machida brothers. Brosa has won seven of his last eight fights, including being 2-0 in the LFA. At LFA 68 “Coxinha” scored a highlight reel knockout by elbow of Nate Jennerman.
LFA 81 is Friday, January 31st at The Hangar at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, California. The main card will be streamed on UFC Fight Pass.
