One fight scrapped from LFA 85, everyone else makes weight
The weigh-ins for LFA 85 went off without and issue, but one fight was lost from the card prior to the scale coming out.
Chris Brown vs. Ignacio Bahamondes is off the card. (Quote obtained by LFA) Rick Guerrero of Mata Leon Sports Management gave the following statement: “Chris Brown was removed from competing at LFA 85 due to testing positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). We are thankful that this was detected and contained by event officials. Chris is asymptomatic and is following all of the guidelines set in place by the medical team. We hope to get him back in the LFA Octagon soon.”
The LFA and Sanford Pentagon have put together strict protocols and safeguards in place to protect the safety off all involved with the event. Everyone competing on the card has tested negative for COVID-19.
The LFA 85 main event will see unbeaten Sam Hughes versus Vanessa “Lil Monster” Demopoulos for the inaugural LFA women’s Strawweight championship.
