Simply Results: UFC 257
The Etihad Arena on Yas Island, in the United Arab Emirates, host UFC 257, headlined by the second meeting between “Notorious” Conor McGregor & Dustin “The Diamnod” Poirier.
A rematch over six years in the making. At UFC 178 McGregor knocked out Poirier in under two minutes. Poirier then moved up to 155 lbs. “The Diamond” has won five of his last six fights defeating former champions Anthony Pettis, Eddie Alvarez, & Max Holloway. This past June the former interim champion beat Dan Hooker by decision in a fight of the year candidate. McGregor hasn’t fight in a year, but that fight was a 40 second demolishing of Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone.
In the co-main event number six ranked lightweight contender Dan “The Hangman” Hooker welcomes former Bellator lightweight champion “Iron” Michael Chandler to the octagon.
