Simply Results: UFC Fight Night “Font vs. Garbrandt”
The UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada hosts UFC Fight Night. The 12-fight card is headlined by a pivitol bantamweight showdown between Rob Font & former champion Cody “No Love” Garbrandt.
Font the number three rnked contender at 135 lbs. has been steadily climbing ladder throughout his UFC tenure but fell short against top competition. The New England Cartel members current three fight win streak has changed that notion as Font has beaten current Bellator champ Sergio Pettis, and knocked out ex-title challenger Marlon Moraes. Garbrandt the number four ranked contender took the UFC by storm when he joined the poromotion in 2015. By the end of 2016 “No Love” was the champion and being promoted as one of the conerstones of the promotion. A pair of knock out losses to his bitter rival and a third overall, plus a truck load of injuries saw Garbrandt at his lowest. Elven months ago the Ohio native returned scoring a monster knockout of Raphael Assuncao, proving he’s still a contender.
