Two Title Fights set for LFA 110
Legacy Fighting Alliance is returning to the Sooner State for LFA 110 with a championship double header.
The main event will be a battle for the LFA light-heavyweight title as unbeaten Joshua Silveria battles Ohio’s Jesse Muurray. Five fights into his MMA career Silveira has left a path of destruction behind him. Five fights, five finishes, four by submission. His last three win have come in the LFA. The last two over Matt Paul & Rafel Viana both came by first round rear naked choke. Murray will make his promotional debut on a three-fight win streak. In 2019 Murray won the King of the Cage title at 205 lbs. by submitting Victor Jones with the very rare, Ezekiel choke. Just before the pandemic began Murray scored the biggest win of his career defeating former LFA title challenger Tim Hiley by unanimous decision.
LFA 110 will be July 2nd at the Grand Event Center in Shawnee, Oklahoma. The main card streams on UFC Fight Pass. This will be the LFA’s 8th event this year in the state.
The co-main event has St. Louis’s Charles Johnson squaring off with Japan’s Yuma Horiguchi for an interim LFA flyweight title. A fight that has been made to keep the division moving as current champion Victor Altamirano is preparing for a fight on Dana White’s Contender Series. At LFA 100 Johnson submitted Karlee Pangilinan by Anaconda choke in the second round. While Horiuchi is coming off submitting Donavon Frelow by armbar at LFA 104.
The card will also see the return of UFC vet & former LFA middleweight champion Markus Perez against Rizin vet Cristiano Urso. Plus Contender Series vet Chibwikem Onyenegecha is back after three years away from the sport, to face former title challenger Hemerson Souza.
