Middleweight Title up for Grabs at LFA 127
During the LFA 125 broadcast details for LFA 127 were announced.
The event will take place on March 25th at the Commerce Casino in Los Angeles California. In the main event California’s own Ozzy Diaz battling Bruno Assis for the vacant LFA Middleweight title.
Diaz is on a four-fight win streak. In two fights under the Bellator banner Diaz knocked out Christopher Reyes & submitted Andre Walker. At LFA 94 it took Diaz just 96 seconds to dispatch of Logan Woods. In his last fight in October the 31-year-old scored a 2nd round knockout of LFA vet Moses Murrietta. Brazil’s Assis is on a three-fight win streak. After a pair of submission wins in Titan FC “Brunao” made his promotional debut at LFA 120 out grappling Jalin Fuller for a decision win. Assis even hold a decision win over Jailton Almeida who’s currently in the UFC.
The co-main event will be in the Featherweight division as Chase “El Guero” Gibson squares off with Javier “El Mariachi” Garcia. Gibson has won three of his last four fights, rebounding from a loss on the Contender Series by submitting Thai Clark at LFA 94 in his last fight. Garcia has won four of his last five fights coming off a decision win over Ryan Fillingame at LFA 118.
