Simply Results UFC Vegas 48
The Apex in Las Vegas hosts UFC Vegas 48. The 12-fight card is headlined by a top-15 ranked Light-Heavweight showdown. Number 10 ranked Brazilian Johnny Walker squares off with number twelve ranked Jamahal Hill. Walker earned his UFC contract on the contender Series in 2018. Three straight first round knockouts including knocking out Misha Cirkunov had many thinking Walker was on a fast track to a title shot. Consecutive losses to Corey Anderson & Nikita Krylov suggested Walker maybe a flash in the pan. A first round knockout of Ryan Spann put the 29-year-olf back in the main event spotlight. A lackluster performance against Thiago Santos has Walker again in a grey area. Hill joined the UFC roster off a win on the 2019 Contender Series. In 2020 “Sweet Dream” announced himself by knocking former title challenger Ovince St. Preux out cold. A dislocated arm led to a loss to Paul Craig giving Hill the first set back of his pro career. Hill comes in off retaining his top prospect status knocking out Jimmy Crute.
