Two Belts on the Line as LFA goes to Brazil for A 2nd time
Legacy Fighting Alliance will be making a second trip to Brazil this time bringing two championship contests.
This past July LFA went to Brazil putting on two events in three days LFA 111 & LFA 112, including a one- night four-man Welterweight title tournament. This time the LFA’s Featherweight & Welterweight titles will be up for grabs.
The main event will see Jonas Bilharinho & Rafael Barbosa battling for the vacant LFA Featherweight title. Jonas “Shiva” Bilharinho meets Rafael “Coxinha” Barbosa in the co-main event for the vacant LFA Welterweight title.
Jonas Bilharinho makes his long awaited LFA debut coming off knocking out Canaan Kawihae with a wheel kick on the Contender Series. And it’s long because he was scheduled to fight for the title at LFA 85 before the event was canceled due to COVID-19. Rafael Barbosa has picked up two of his last four wins inside the LFA including a first round knockout out of former title challenger Nate Jennerman. The Karate fighter also has bjj skills as he showed submitting Ozias Junior in September.
Gabriel Bonfim beat Brenner Alberth in the semifinals of the LFA 112 welterweight tournament but injury prevented him from competing in the finals. Quemuel Ottoni beat Junior Marques in the tournament alternate bout that night but he wasn’t in shape to fight again that night. Now both men have been given a second chance at the belt.
LFA 126 is March 11th at the Complexo Ribalta in rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
