Manfio vs. Madge headlines 2022 PFL 1
The 2022 PFL regular season is set for a late April start.
The promotion has announced the first event of the season will take place on April 20th. The first three regular season events are all set to happen at Esports Stadium in Arlington Texas. The first week will feature action in the Lightweight & Light-Heavyweight divisions.
In the main event, 2021 Lightweight champion Raush Manfio square on with UFC vet Don Mage. Brazil’s Manfio took his game to a new level defeating Loik Radzhabov in the finals to cap off a perfect an unbeaten championship season. Madge a native of South Africa made his PFL debut submitting Nathan Williams in a feature fight at the 2021 championship event.
2021 PFL Light-Heavyweight champion Antonio Carlos Jr. will open the season welcoming his fellow countryman Delan Monte to the promotion. Carlos Jr. submitted Marthin Hamlet by rear naked choke in last years finals. Monte signed with the PFL on the strength of three stoppage wins in a row.
Also heavy hitting Jeremy “Lil Heathen” Stephens makes his PFL debut against “Cassius” Clay Collard who splits his time between MMA & Boxing.
