LFA bringing a Bantamweight Title Fight to their Wisconsin return
The LFA’s third trip to Wisconsin, will see the promotions seventh Bantamweight champion crowned.
Unbeaten top prospect Dan “The Determined” Argueta will square off with accomplished Brazilian competitor Diego “Margrinho” Silva.
LFA 131 takes place on Friday, May 6 at the Oshkosh arena in Oshkosh Wisconsin.
Argueta had a long term relationship with Wrestling including competing at UW-Parkside, before focusing on MMA. “The man nicknamed “The-Determined” turned pro at LFA 65 knocking out Max Rojas in the first round. After three straight wins by rear naked choke, Argueta was selected to be part of season 29 of The Ultimate Fighter. Since returning to the LFA The 28-year-old has racked up to impressive finishes submitting Ronnie Mandela by armbar in the first round and stopping Mairon Santos with ground and pound at LFA 123.
Silva is a dedicated martial artist with black belts in two of his country’s most famous art forms Jiu-Jitsu & Luta Livre. During a decade of competing in the cage Silva has competed in his home country as well as in Portugal, Finland, Spain, Russia, the United Arab Emirince, and the United States. The man known as “Magrinho” has won his last two fights including a decision over UFC vet Andre Soukhamthath.
