The first of two nights of Bellator MMA action from Honolulu Hawaii is Bellator 278 from the Neil S. blaisdell Center.
The 10 fight card features to bantamweight Grand Prix qualifiers, while the main event has the first women to ever enter the octagon Liz “Girl-Rilla” Carmouche challenging Brazil’s Juliana Velasquez for the Bellator Women’s Flyweight Championship.
Carmouche’s walks into her fourth attempt to become a world champion on a three-fight win streak that includes a 35 second knockout of Kana Watanabe. Velasquez has won her last two fights by decision capturing the champ belt from Ilima-Lei Macfarlane and defending adainst Denise Kielholtz.
