Kattar vs Emmett take Center Stage at UFC Fight Night June 18th
During the UFC Fight Night “Font vs. Vera” broadcast it was announced that June 18 UFC FIght Night in Austin Texas will see top ten Featherweight clash on the marquee.
The Moody Center be treated to seeing number four ranked Calvin Kattar Squaring off against number seven ranked Josh Emmett.
Kattar is a Massachusetts who has won three of his last four fights. A TKO of Jeremy Stephens and a unanimous decision win over Dan Ige, set up Kattar for a with the former champion. After going five hard rounds against Max Holloway, a fight that most felt should have been stopped, “The Boston finisher” applied what he learned in halting the win streak of Giga Chikadze.
Sacramento’s Josh Emmett has won four fights in a row. The Team Alph Male member started this run off with knockout of Michale Johnson & Mirsad Belgic. After a pair of decision win over ranked foes in Shane Burgos & Dan Ige, the 37-year-old is ready for the fight that puts him in title contention.
News also recently broke that the card will see Kevin Holland sophomore performance at Welter weight against veteran Tim Means. Holland won his first fight at welterweight at USC 272 knocking out Alex Oliveira in the second round. Means has won his last three fights the most recent came over Nicolas Dalby.
