LFA 144 Results, Gafurov Spin Kicks his way to Gold
The Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota hosts LFA 144 where Tajikistan’s Muin Gafurov & Brazil’s Diego Silva battle for the vacant LFA Bantamweight championship.
The complexion of the nights main event changed at the weigh-in’s as Diego Silva missed weight by 2.6 lbs. making him ineligible to win the title. Gafurov is a diverse finisher with nine knockout and seven submissions, coming off knocking out Herbeth Sousa at LFA 134. Silva a finisher in his own right with 75% of them coming by submission. The 29-year-old has won three of his last four fight coming off a decision win over Askar Askar at LFA 138.
The main card will also feature four unbeaten fighter Christian Turner, Christian Natividad, and heavyweights Jordan Heiderman an Daiqwon Buckley who will battle in the co-main event.
LFA 144 is a historical night as the event will be the first live combat sports event available in Horizon Worlds thanks to Meta’s new partnership with the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
