UFC 283 Results, Moreno & Hill leave Brazil UFC champions
The Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro Brazil hosts UFC 283. The 15-fight card features a championship double header as the Light-Heavyweight & Flyweight titles are on the line.
The main event is a clash for the vacant UFC Light-Heavyweight title. Former champion, BJJ black belt Glover Teixeira squares off with rising star and knockout artist Jamahal “Sweet Dreams” Hill. The belt that Jiri Prochazka was forced to vacate due to a shoulder injury. And the title remained vacant when the Magomed Ankalev – Jan Blachowicz UFC 282 main event was scored a draw. Not impressed by the effort at UFC 282 the UFC brass made decision to give to other worthy competitors a chance at becoming champion.
The co-main event is the fourth battle for the UFC Flyweight title between Brazil’s Deiveson Figueiredo & Mexico’s Brandon Moreno. Their trilogy is all tied up with each having a win and the rivalry started with a draw leading this unprecedented winner takes all encounter.
