WBC Youth Title Fight Headlines Legacy Boxing Promotions “New Era”
Legacy Boxing Promotions will get their 2023 started in April with the most Illustrious title fight the company has ever put on.
A green belt will be on the line as Albuquerque’s own Abraham “The Hammer” Perez battles Tanzania’s Mchanja Yohana for a WBC Youth Flyweight Title. The championship bout will headline “New Era”, April 8th at Embassy Suites in Albuquerque, NM.
Perez (6-0) scored TKO wins in his first two fights. “The Hammer’s” last four fights have all been scheduled for six rounds and have gone the distance. Perez’s wins over Mulapi Enjani & Isaac Anguiano have come under the Legacy banner with the pressure of the main event lights. The Olympian has also faced the test of experience beating 76-fight vet Alejandro Moreno.
Perez has a varied skillset as a pro. Starting off with a stiff jab. Adding body work and finding a home for his hooks to do damage. I’ll the while committing to being defensively sound and never a still target.
Yohana (14-4) is an orthodox standing power puncher. In December Yohana beat Haidari Mchanjo by majority decision ending a streak of 11 wins in a row by knockout. Hungry to make a name for himself Yohana has taken some big risks in his career his last two lost come as the visiting fighter getting outpointed by Mikhail Aloyan & Mekhdi Abdurashedov in Russia.
