Press Conference Announces JW Fight Night Maters vs. Morgan
Mike Winkeljohn has announced JW Fight Night for April 16th.
Today at the Jacksonwink gym Coach Wink held a press conference to outline what will be the first Fight Night to take place from inside the world-famous gym. The main event will see the pro debut of Dwight “Akuma” Maters against North Carolina’s Shawn Morgan. Maters is making his pro debut after an amateur run that included fighting for RUF, LFA, & CFFC. This past August “Akuma” made a successful pro debut as a boxer scoring a third-round knockout. Morgan is a North Carolina based fighter who won his most recent amateur MMA fight by knockout in 19 seconds.
The pro will also feature the pro debut of Madison Hobbs protegee Vincent Van Alstyne. Outspoken social media mogul “King Ba” Joel Bauman a LFA & Fury FC vet will be making his return to the Light-Heavyweight division. Tenacious brawler Karla Alvarez is set to back her pro debut.
The amateur card will feature fighters from Jacksonwink MMA, Force of one in Clovis, Hobbs-Jacksonwink MMA in North Carolina, and Team Wild West/ Team Purgatory in Las Cruces. Tickets are on sale at Holdmyticket.com.
