Jillian DeCoursey makes first Title Defense at Invicta FC 53
The Invicta FC Atomweight crown will be on the line as the promotion hosts it fourth consecutive event from Colorado.
The nights main event will see Jillian “Lionheart” DeCoursey defending against Brazil’s Rayanne Dos Santos. DeCoursey became the number one contender by scoring a first round TKO of Lindsey VanZandt at Invicta FC 41. Four months later the “Lionheart” was in full effect securing a rear naked choke of Jessica Delboni to become the new 105 lb. queen. Dos Santos has won six of her last seven fights with four wins by armbar. The 27-year-old secured her title opportunity in her debut with the promotion defeating Katie Saull by unanimous decision.
The co-main event will see former title challenger Olga “Big Bad” Rubin squaring off opposite Elevation Fight Teams Claire “Grizzly” Guthrie. In the feature fight position former Atomweight champion Jessica Delboni moves up to Strawweight for a scrap with UFC vet Dnielle Taylor.
Invicta FC 53 is May 3rd at Reelworks in Denver Colorado.
