Grasso-Shevchenko 2 headlines September 16th Fight Night in Sin City
The UFC has announce they’ll be putting an heighten emphasis on celebrating Mexico Independence.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship will be putting on a pay per view quality Fight Night card September 16th from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The headliner will be the highly anticipated rematch for the UFC Women’s Flyweight Championship.
In the main event Alexa Grasso will put the 125 lbs. title on the line against the only other champion in the divisions history Valentina Shevchenko. When you dethrone a long reigning champion, Shevchenko held the belt for over four years, it expected you’ll have to do it twice.
Guadalajara’s Mexico’s Alexa Gasso (16-3) ended Shevchenko’s illustrious reign at UFC 285 by submission in the fourth round a from rear naked choke. The win improved the Team Lobo fighter to a perfect 5-0 mark at flyweight.

The Mexican fan has long been crucial to the economics of boxing and the UFC, has long desired to captive a section of that audience. The UFC currently has three Mexican fighters holding UFC titles.
