LFA 161 Results, Cody Davis pounds his way to the Flyweight Title
Legacy Fighting Alliance is at The Commerce Casino & Hotel in Southern, California for LFA 161. The six fight card is headlined by Cody Davis & Igor Siqueira battling for the vacant LFA Flyweight Championship.
The card lone prelim saw Daniel Park score a second round TKO win over Alex Carrillo. Park stuffed the Carrillo takedown attempt firing Carrillo to his back raining down a mixture of elbows and punches for the stoppage. The main card opened with Luis Francischinelli making a successful pro debut defeating Emmanueli Adzoh by first round TKO. Francischinelli stuffed the Adzoh takedown attempt, stuck a knee to the body, fishing the fight with a straight left. Sarek Shields won his third in a row submitting Jeffery Craig in the first by submission. Shields made his intentions to take the fight to the ground clear scoring four takedowns and forcing the tap with a mounted guillotine choke. The cards feature fight Danny Silva scores the 5th knockout win of his career stopping Alex Valentino Arteaga in the first round. Silva put a beating on Arteaga scoring multiple knockdowns off leg kicks and left hooks before finishing with punches on the ground. In the co-main event Rafael do Nascimento beat Jordan Winski unanimous decision. The first fight on the card to News the judges scores card saw a bout that was controlled by the grappling of Rafael do Nascimento who threaten Jordan Winski with kimura’s, armbars, and triangle choke during the 15 minute affair. The new LFA Flyweight champion is Cody Davis scoring a fifth round TKO win. The fight wasn’t all smooth sailing as Igor Siqueira had Davis wobbled in the second round. Davis came back finding his takedown spending the third and fourth rounds on top finally forcing the ref to call it in the final frame.
