Nine fights into his professional career Abraham Perez is now the IBA Flyweight World Champion. “Hammer” won the title by stopping Luis Villa Padilla in the 9th round from a body shot. Nearly an Olympian Perez is caving out quite the path as a pro.

 

Aaron Perez ended a two-year absence from the ring at Noche De Campeones. Perez had his way with Rafael Reyes sweeping the score cards en route to collecting the New Mexico State Lightweight title. A hard self-critic Perez is already thinking about what’s next and how he can improve.

 

At Legacy Boxing Promotions Noche De Campeones Clinton Chavez edged out Cesar Alvarado to earn a split decision win in his return to the ring after a year away. Chavez had uprooted his life moving to Las Vegas and life brought him back to the Land of Enchantment.

 

His pro debut didn’t get out of the first round but at Noche De Campeones Josh Rodriguez got his true introduction to the professional ranks. On short notice Devonte Smith forced Rodriguez to go the distance and even made the fight more challenging as it went on.

 

In only his second professional fight Saul Gomez scored a TKO 75-fight vet Saul Gomez. Gomez has a full-time job and finds a way to be in the gym 5 days a week.  The hard work has garnered results that he’s surprised by.
