Two Former Champions & A Prodigy apart of first set of Fights Announced for UFC300
Dana White has hypothesized that the UFC 300 card in April will be so stacked that knock your socks off doesn’t even begin to describe it. The massive extravaganza is starting to take shape.
Former Light-heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka will face number five ranked Aleksandar Rakic. In 2022 Prochazka submitted Glover Teixeira to win the UFC title. The Czech fighter unfortunately had to vacate the title suffering a horrendous, shoulder injury just before his first title defense. Miraculously Prochazka returned to the octagon 11-months later falling short of reclaiming his title. Rakic is on the hunt for his first world title opportunity. The Serbian fighter is returning to action for the first time since a leg injury in May of 2022. Rakic was at that time coming off win over title challenger Thiago Santos & Anthony Smith.
Former Bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling will test the water up a division as he’ll take on number seven ranked Featherweight contender Calvin Kattar. Sterling know for his funky grappling has eights win by submission. In the quandary Kattar has stellar boxing that has lead to ten wins by knockout.
And it’s being reported that the first fight in the card will see unbeaten Middleweight sensation Bo Nickal against Factory X’s Cody Brundage. Nickal ran his professional record to 5-0 at UFC 290 knocking out Val Woodburn in 38 seconds. Brundage has won two in a row a disqualification over Jacob Malkoun & a first round knockout of Zach Resse.
UFC 300 will be April 13th in Las Vegas, Nevada.
