Mike Perry & Lorenzo Hunt booked for Knucklemania 4

BKFC president David Feldman has made a blockbuster announcement about the first three fights official for the card.

The news was broke during  Feldman’s appearance on the MMA Hour. The April 23 yearly spectacular will be headlined by the King of Violence “Platinum” Mike Perry facing former BKFC Middleweight world champion Thiago Alves. At BKFC 56 Perry ran his BKFC record to 4-0 after brutalizing Eddie Alvarez for a second round TKO winning the King of Violence title. From knocking out Luke Rockhold’s teeth to breaking bones in Eddie Alvarez‘s face. Mike Perry has excelled at Bare-Knuckle, and propelled himself into being the face of the promotion. Thiago Alves saw the potential in Bare-Knuckle fighting early making his promotional debut at BKFC 12 winning a decision of Julian Lane.  It been almost 3 years since he last toed the line at BKFC 18 defeating Ulysses Diaz for the BKFC Light-Heavyweight title.

In an unprecedented move two division world champion Lorenzo Hunt has vacated both title belts to challenge Mick Terrill for the BKFC Heavyweight Championship. At last year’s Knucklemania 3 Hunt survived being knocked down to knockout Mike Richman in one of the greatest comebacks the sport has ever seen. Hunt returned to the Cruiserweight division at BKFC 50 defending his title by defeating Chris Camozzi. Terrill won his third fight in a row and the vacant BKFC title at BKFC 56 stopping Arnold Adams in the fourth round.

A number one contender in the Heavyweight division will also be decided as “Big” Ben Rothwell faces former UFC vet Todd Duffee. The two were originally scheduled to meet at BKFC 56 but illness force Rothwell to withdraw from the contest. “Big Ben” has posted knockout wins over Bobo O’Bannon & Josh Copeland inside the squared circle. For Duffee this will be his first fight outside of MMA.

The April 27th card at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California will also see the promotional debut of veteran boxer Alfredo ‘Perro’ Angulo.
