The Bellator Light-Heavyweight championship became vacant when Vadim Nemkov decided he was moving up to Heavyweight. A new champion will be crowned as American Corey Anderson collides with Irishman Karl Moore.

Anderson will fight for the title for a third time. The two previous occasions came against Vadim Nemkov. Their first encounter at Bellator 276 end in a no contest after a clash of heads. The rematch at Bellator 288 resulted in a unanimous decision in favor of Nemkov. At Bellator 297 Anderson got back in the win column defeating Phil Davis by split decision.

Moore is a former Caged Warriors champion. The 32-year-old Irishman will head into the biggest fight of his career on a four fight win streak. In the last two years Moore has submitted Karl Albrektsson along with posting decision wins over Maciej Rozanski & Alex Polizzi.

The launch of the new Bellator MMA is scheduled for March 22nd in Belfast, Ireland. The Bellator Champions series will feature eight events with each event having eight fights.  The other announced fight for the card will see Leah McCourt against Sinead Kavanagh.
