UFC Saudi Arabia set for June 22nd
Dana White took to his Instagram on Wednesday night to drop a massive announcement about the UFC on ABC event.
The first UFC event to take place in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is set for June 22nd and will be broadcasted live and free on ABC.
In the main event former Middleweight champion number three ranked Robert “The Reaper” Whittaker will face number eleven ranked Khamzat “Borg” Chimaev with a title shot hanging in the balance. Whittaker is coming off a unanimous decision win over former title challenger Paulo Costa. Chimaev ran his unbeaten record to 13-0 at UFC 294 defeating former Welterweight champion Kamaru Usman.
In the co-main event at Heavyweight number three ranked Sergei Pavlovich faces former Bellator Heavyweight Champion number six ranked Alexander Volkov.
TUF 17 winner Kelvin Gastelum will face Daniel “D-Rod” Rodriguez. Plus unbeaten Shara Magomedov faces Ihor Poteria who has 14 first round finishes.
