LFA 182 Results, Mitchell McKee improves to 6-0 in dominate showing

A title shot could be on the horizon for Mitchell McKee after a second main event win.

Legacy Fighting Alliance was in one of their most visited destinations the “Rushmore State” on Friday night for their decade anniversary. The Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota for LFA 182. A showdown between two of the Midwest’s top Bantamweight prospects Mitchell McKee a tenacious wrestler, & regional champion Jose Hernandez headlined the 12-fight card.

Mitchell McKee grabbed control of the LFA 182 main event early and never relinquished the momentum. McKee sat Jose Hernandez down with a left hook in the first minute leading to a dominate first round. The collegiate wrestler securing takedowns in each round to just like in his first main event at LFA 168, to take a unanimous decision win. At 6-0 and 2 main event wins you can expect McKee to be fight for a title or possibly the contender series in his next outing.

Khaseyn Shaykhaev beat Michel Lima by split decision in the co-main event, but it felt like a unanimous decision as Shaykhaev scored a knockdown in the first round and was the forward moving party landing hard punches while his tight defense nullified a majority of Michel Lima’s strikes.

An eye should also be kept on Nitkita Kulshin (6-0) who out wrestled Cedric Gunnison. Former title challenger Nate Smith swing punches and kicks blasting Christian Ynastrilla with an overhand right that will be added to his highlight reel. Michael Blckhus, another collegiate wrestler making the transition over MMA went to his wrestling spending the most of the first round on top uncorked several hard punches in the final minute of the first for a finish that Jonathan Griffin vigorously protested.

There was no controversy as Kendra McIntyre knocked out Katarina Legorreta. McIntyre nearly had rear naked chokes of Legorreta in first and second round. By the third round Legorreta was struggling to get her hands up walking into jab-cross combinations a change of attack sees McIntyre’s left foot land directly across Legorreta’s face. On the prelim portion of the card Shad Walters set a record for fastest flyweight knockout in LFA history as a left hook put Nicholas Gjelaj out in 11 seconds.
