Main Event Shift for UFC Fight Night 76
The UFC Fight Night 76 main event has under gone a late change and will now see a headlining bout of Ireland’s Patrick “The Hooligan” Holohan (12-1-1) against Hawaiian Louis “Da Last Samurai” Smolka (9-1).
This change comes as result of Joseph Duffy getting hit hard this week, being sent for testing, and the test finding that Duffy had suffered a mild-concussion. Airing on the side of safety Dufffy has been pulled from the card. Dustin Poirier the other half of the now canceled main event is expected to be re-booked for a fight soon. Injuries of not been kind to this card as the original co-main event of Stipe Miocic and Ben Rothwell was canceled a week ago.
Holohan is 3-1 in the UFC with consecutive decision wins over Shane Howell and Vaughan Lee. Smolka is also 3-1 in the octagon, with a knock out of Richie Vaculik and most recently a UFC 189, unanimous decision win over Neil Seery.
