Bunch meets Cervantes at CFC 1
Luttrell-Yee, Bantamweight prospect Stephen “Scrappy Doo” Cervantes (5-0) will look to keep his undefeated record intact on November 21th when he takes on Bellator vet Shawn “Bunch the Great” Bunch (4-2) at CFC 1.
For Bunch who was an Olympic wrestling alternate, this will be his first MMA bout not inside the Bellator cage. Bunch won his first 2 bouts via decision before a TKO loss to Cervantes former training partner Steve Garcia Jr. Bunch would rebound with a TKO of David Duran and then decision-ed Rolando Perez before a Bellator 1`43 submission loss to Darion Caldwell.
Cervantes who had a successful wrestling career at West Mesa high school, is incredibly athletic fighter with 3 wins via unanimous decision. Cervantes has a pair of win by way of submission including a July, 1st round rear naked choke of Randy Steinke, which ended a 6 fight win streak.
Conquer Fighting Championships (CFC) will be presenting there 1st event CFC 1, on November 21st at the Craneway Pavilion in Richmond, California.
