The originally scheduled WSOF 5 Light Heavyweight main event of Anthony “Rumble” Johnson (15-4) vs. Mike “Mak” Kyle (20-10-1) has been rescheduled to Headline WSOF on December 7, at the PNE Agrodome in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

The news of the WSOF’s first trip to Canada comes also with the new that the promotion has purchased Canadian promotion Aggression Fighting Championships.

The co-main event will also be a rescheduled bout with this one seeing Elvis Mutapcic (13-2) vs. Jesse Taylor (26-9) in a Middleweight tournament semifinal. The winner will meet Dave Branch to crown the inaugural WSOF Middleweight champion.

Johnson in 2 WSOF bouts has defeated DJ Linderman (KO) and Andriei Arlovski (UD).

Kyle had expected to meet Johnson in the main event of WSOF 5, but Johnson was forced by injury to the sidelines and was replaced by Andriei Arlovski; who would take the victory by unanimous decision.

Mutapcic vs. Taylor had also been scheduled for WSOF 5, but was canceled by the New Jersey Athletic Control Board minutes prior to the bout, because an inspector said they saw Mutapcic take an unknown pill just prior to walk outs. The Control Board has stood by their decision to cancel the bout and Mutapcic has proclaimed his innocents. Nothing more has come from the matter and the bout is again on.
