WSOF Signs Davis & Okami,
World Series of Fighting have recently announced the signings of Bellator vet, Light Heavyweight Raphael “Noodle” Davis (13-2) and former UFC Title challenger; Middleweight Yushin “Thunder” Okami (29-8).
Davis a 7 year pro who trains at Reign MMA and LA Boxing has won 3 fights in a row over Myron Dennis, Berin Balijagic, and Edward Darby; all by KO/TKO. “Noodle” who has 12 stoppage wins with 5 KO/TKO’s and 7 submissions, including notable submissions of Vinny Magalhaes and Emanuel Newton.
Okami was released from the UFC after a TKO loss to Ronaldo Souza ended a 3 fight winning streak in which “Thunder” defeated Buddy Roberts (TKO), Alan Belcher (UD), and Hector Lombard (UD). The win streak did proceed back to back losses to Anderson Silva and Tim Boetsch both by TKO; making Okami 3-3 in his last 6.
Also a few weeks ago it was announced that UFC vet, Heavyweight Mike Russow (15-3-1), ; signed with the Las Vegas based promotion. Russow has not fought since a January TKO loss to Shawn Jordan led to his release. The loss was his 2nd in a row also being stopped by Fabricio Werdum. Rior to the consecutive losses Russow has won 11 in a row.
