The Ultimate Fighting Champion is in Raleigh, North Carolina for UFC Fight Night Blaydes vs. Dos Santos taking place at PNC Arena.
The 12-fight card will see heavyweights take center stage. Number three ranked contender Curtis “Razor” Blaydes looks to win his forth in a row and make his case for a title shot, when he faces number four ranked contender, former champion Junior “Cigano” Dos Santos. On paper this is a classic striker versus grappler match-up. Blaydes a wrestler with devastating ground & pound. Dos Santos is primarily a Boxer , whose scored 15 wins by knockout.
Former lightweight champion, number five ranked welterweight, Rafael Dos Anjos faces TUF 15 winner, Michael Chiesa in the co-main event. Also in top 15 battle at flyweight number 11 ranked Jordan “Chino” Espinosa faces number 12 ranked Alex Perez.

Herbert Burns won his forth in a row and made a successful promotional debut to open the prelims. The Brazil caught Nate Landwehr with a knee in the clinch, finishing the fight win punches on the ground. Brett Johns ended a two fight skid, scoring his sixth win by submission, third by rear naked choke, defeating Tony Gravley in the third round. Three take-downs, one each round for Sara McMann in a dominate three round unanimous decision win over Lina Lansberg. Montel Jackson score a bantamweight record 11 take-downs, rebounding from his first career loss defeating Felipe Colares. After two injury plagued years Justine Kish successfully returned to the octagon defeating Lucie Puidlova by a clean sweep of the judges score cards. Possibly the least talked about prospect in the featherweight division, Arnold Allen ran his win streak to nine, seven of them in the UFC, busting up Nik Lentz in winning a mostly at long distance striking affair. The final prelim bout saw Bevon Lewis gut past a knee injury to pick up first UFC win by a one-sided unanimous decision over Dequan Townsend. Jamahal Hill opened open the main card with a diverse striking attack, picking apart Darko Stosic for a decision win. Angela Hill put Hannah Cifers on the ground, mounted relentlessly dropping elbows and punches till the ref waived the fight off in the second round. Alex Perez quickly takes Jordan Espinosa to the ground locks in an arm-triangle choke, squeezing till Espinosa goes to sleep. Michael Chiesa is now 3-0 at 170lbs. after picking up the biggest win of his career, a unanimous decision over Rafael Dos Anjos. The “Maverick” was a step ahead on the ground and made excellent use of his size advantage. Curtis Blaydes tags Junior Dos Santos with a big right hand in the second round. Dos Santos staggered back to the cage and Blaydes swarmed for the finish. Blaydes is now on a three-fight win streak.
