Brandao vs. Pineda Added to UFC on Fox Sports 1 1
TUF 14 Featherweight winner Diego Brandao (17-8) will meet Daniel “The Pit” Pineda (18-9) on August 17, at UFC on Fox Sports 1 1.
Diego Brandao a member of Jackson’s/Winkeljohn’s MMA submitted Dennis Bermudez to earn the hornnor of “The Ultiamte Fighter”. In his official UFC debut Bradao would loose a decision to Darren Elkins. Brandao has since regrouped to get wins over Joey Gambino and Pablo Garza.
Daniel Pineda started off his UFC career by submitting both Pat Schilling and Mackens Semerzier, before hitting a slide with back to back losses to Mike Thomas Brown and Antonio Carvalho. Pineda most recently got himself back in the win column by submitting Justin Lawrence.
UFC on Fox Sports 1 1 takes place on August 31, at the TD Bank Garden; and is headlined by Maruico “Shogun” Rua vs. Chael Sonnen.
