WSOF 4 Adds Tyson Griffin Vs Gesias Cavalcante
The first bout added to WSOF 4 will be a Lightweight contest pitting American Kickboxing Academy’s Tyson Griffin (16-6) against Blackzilians member Gesias Cavalcante (17-7-1) will take place at WSOF 4 on August 10, at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California.
This bout will be the promotional debut for Tyson Griffin who is a UFC vet. Griffin was released from the UFC after a 4-1 stretch topped by back to back losses to Manny Gamburyan and Bart Palaszewski. In Griffin’s only fight since being released from the UFC, he earned a unanimous decision victory over fellow UFC vet Efrain Escudero.
Gesias Cavalcante is a K-1, Dream, and Strikeforce; who at WSOF 4 will be making his 3rd appearance under the WSOF banner. Cavalcante is 2-3 in his last 5 fights, including being 1-1 in WSOF with a submission win over TJ O’Brien and a TKO doctor Stoppage loss to Justin Gaethje.
