3 Bouts Including Boetsch vs. Rockhold added to UFC 166

The UFC 166 card is filling up fast, recently 3 more bouts where added to the October card, staring with at Middleweight Tim “The Barbarian” Boetsch (16-6) of AMC Pankraction facing the last Strikeforce Middleweight champion American Kickboxing Academy’s Luke Rockhold (10-2).

Boetsch will be looking halt a 2 fight losing streak, after suffering losses to Consantinos Phillipou (TKO) and Mark Munoz (UD); while Rochold will look to erase the memories of his promotional debut spinning wheel kick KO loss to Vitor Belfort. The loss end what was a 9 fight win streak.

Heavyweight will battle to see whose will; will be imposed when Gabriel “Napo” Gonzaga (15-7) of the Renzo Gracie fight team collides with American Top Teams Shawn “The Savage” Jordan (15-4). Both men are coming off fast knockout’s with Gonzaga having smashed Dave Herman in 17 seconds at UFC 162 and Jordan coming off a 59 seconds, Knockout of the Night award wining KO of Pat Barry at UFC 161.

After being out worked for 3 round by Donald Cerrone , KJ Noons (11-7) will be looking to end his current 3 fight losing streak and let his hands fly against George Sotiropoulos (14-5), who has also lost 3 in a row, coming off being TKO’d  by Ross Pearson in the 3rd round of their UFC on FX 6 main event bout. Both men where at one point top ten Lightweights with title aspirations. Now they fight with the loser likely being cut from the UFC.

UFC 166 takes place on October 19, at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas; and is headlined by Junior Dos Santos vs. Cain Velasquez III.
