DC vs. Big Country Co-main event of UFC 166

After several months of back and forth Daniel Cormier (12-0) and Roy “Big country” Nelson (19-8) have set a time to dance in the UFC octagon and that will be in the co-main event of UFC 166.

Cormier, is undefeated thus far in MMA, is a former Olympic wrestler; who now trains at the American Kickboxing Academy. “DC” is coming off a promotional debut, unanimous decision win over former UFC Heavyweight champion Frank Mir.

For Nelson this UFC 166 bout will be the first fight of his newly signed multi-fight deal with the UFC. Nelson is coming off an on short notice unanimous decision loss to Stipe Miocic, at UFC 161. The loss ended a 3 fight winning streak in which Nelson defeated Dave Herman, Matt Mitrione, and Cheick Kongo.

UFC 166 takes place on October 19, at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas; and is headlined by Junior Dos Santos vs. Cain Velasquez III
