UFC on Fox Sports 1 3 adds 4 Bouts Topped by Pepey vs. Sicilia

The UFC on Fox Sports 1 3 card is filling quickly with 4 bouts having recently been announced. Starting off in the Featherweight division TUF Brazil season 1 finalist Godofredo Pepey (9-2) will take on TUF 15 alum Sam Sicilia (11-3).

Pepey after losing in the TUF finals to Rony Jason by decision came back to earn a decision win over Milton Vieira. Pepey will again be looking to bounce back off a TKO loss to Felipe Arantes. At the TUF 15 Finale Sicilia knocked out Cristiano Marcello, but has since lost back to back fights to Rony Jason (TKO) and Maximo Blanco (UD).

TUF alums also go to battle in the Bantamweight division with TUF Brazil season 1’s Hugo “Wolverine” Viana (7-1) facing “Brutal” Johnny Bedford (19-10-1). Viana started off his UFC career going 2-0 with wins over John Conceicao (SD) and Reuben Duran (KO), but most recently suffered his first career loss by TKO to TJ Dilllashaw. Johnny Bedford at UFC 159 saw his 3 fight winning streak come to an end, being submitted by a Bryan Caraway guillotine choke.

After having his 4 fight win streak ended by a KO loss to Johnny Bedford, Marcos Vinicus (20-4-1) will look to start a new winning streak when he welcome’s Russia’s Ali Bagautinov (10-2) to the octagon. Bagautinov has won 8 fights in a row with 6 of the 8 win by stoppage and 5 of those 6wins have been in the first round.

The final announced match-up is at Welterweight and pits Sean “Black Magic” Spencer (9-2) of Octagon MMA against Yuri Villefort (6-2) of the Blackzilians. Spencer is coming off a UFC debut in which he took a fight on short notice at Middleweight and saw his 3 fight win steak ended by a submission loss to Rafael Natal. Villefort started his career off with a 6-0 mark and 5 of the 6 wins by stoppage. But since then the 22 year old has dropped consecutive decisions to Quinn Mulhern and Nah-Shon Burrell.

UFC on Fox Sports 1 3 takes place on September 4, at the Jornalista Felipe Drumond Stadium in Belo Horiaonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil; and is headlined by Glover Teixeira vs. Ryan “Darth” Bader in a Light Heavyweight showdown.
