The newest addition to the UFC 166 card is a Welterweight battle pitting sombo expert Adlan Amagov (12-2-1) against submission specialist TJ Waldburger (16-7).

Amagov trains at the Jackson’s/Winkeljohns gym and is a member of the Red Fury Fight Team. After a 3-1 stint with Strikeforce with wins over Ronald Stallings, Anthony Smith, and Keith Bery; and the lone loss came against Robbie Lawler. Amagov is coming off scoring a decision win over Chris Spang in his promotional debut at UFC on Fuel TV 9.

Waldburger comes into this bout having gone 3-2 in his last 5 fights. In that time the victories have come over Mike Stumpf, Jake Hetch, and Nick Catone, while suffering set backs against Johnny Hendricks and Brian Ebersole. Waldburger is a two time submission of the night award winner, who has 13 of 14 stoppage wins by submission.

UFC 166 takes place on October 19 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas; and is headlined by Junior dos Santos vs. Cain Velasquez III for the UFC Heavyweight title.
