Means to New Weight Class, Faces Spratt in Legacy FC 23 Main Event
Legacy FC officials have announced that due to injury Danny Salinas (11-5) has withdrawn from the Legacy FC 23 main event against Pete Spratt (25-22), who will instead face Fit NHB’s Tim “The Dirty Bird” Means (18-5-1).
Spratt is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Dan Hornbuckle, after consecutive wins over Martin Grandmont (TKO) and Daniel Acacio (UD). Spratt has 22 stoppage victories with 13 KO/KO’s and 9 submissions in his 14 year career.
Coming off back to back decision losses to Jorege Masvidal and Danny Castillo at Lightweight, and missing weight in the Castillo fight; Means has decided to move up to Welterweight. The loss to Masvidal ended a 11 fight unbeaten streak that included UFC wins over Bernardo Magalhaes (UD) and Justin Salas (TKO). The Castillo decision was controversial one, as “The Dirty Bird” out struck Castillo 126-59 in total strikes and 38-25 in significant strikes, according to fightmetric.com.
Both men will be looking to get back on track on September 13th, at the Cowboys Dancehall in San Antonio, Texas; in the headlining bout of Legacy FC 23.
