Oliveira vs. Payan Set for UFC 166
There is one less vacant sport on the UFC 166 card after the announcement that Charles “Do Bronx” Oliveira (16-4) and Estevan Payan (14-4) will meet in a Featherweight contest.
Oliveira is in a huge need for a win coming off consecutive losses to Cub Swanson and Frankie Edgar, after starting his time at 145lbs. off with wins over Eric Wisley and Jonathan Brookins.
Prior to a promotional debut loss to Jeremy Stephens, Payan had won 5 fights in a row; including consecutive wins in Strikeforce over Alonzo Martinez and Michael Bravo.
UFC 166 takes place on October 19th at the Toyota center in Houston, Texas; and is headlined by Junior Dos Santos vs. Cain Velasquez III.
