Bigfoot vs. Hunt & Shogun vs. Te Huna at UFC Fight Night 33

The first UFC Fight Night to take place in Australia will take place on December 7, in Queensland, Australia. The main event will be a Heavyweight showdown between Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva (18-5) and Mark “The Super Samoan” Hunt (9-8).

The second fight announced is in the Light Heavyweight division and will see Mauricio “Shogun” Rua (21-8) square off with James Te Huna (16-6).

Bigfoot is 2-2 I in 4 UFC fights with wins over Travis Browne (TKO) and Alistair Overeem (KO) on either side of TKO losses to Cain Velasquez.

Hunt is coming off a UFC 160 loss to Junior dos Santos that ended a 4 fight winning streak, in which Hunt defeated Chris Tuchscherer (KO), Ben Rothwell (UD), Cheick Kong (TKO), and Stefan Struve (TKO).

Rua is just 1-3 in his last 4 fight, with losses to Dan Henderson (UD), Alexander Gustafsson (UD), and Chael Sonnen (SUB), while his win in that time came by TKO over Brandon Vera.

Most recently Te Huna saw his 4 fight winning streak come to an end with a submission loss to Glover Teixeira. During the winning streak Te Huna scored victories over Ricardo Romero (KO), Aaron Rosa (TKO), Joey Beltran (UD), and Ryan Jimmo (UD).
