UFC on Fox 9 adds McKenzie vs. Stout
After a stint at Featherweight Cody McKenzie (14-3) will return to Lightweight at UFC on Fox 9 and welcoming the TUF 12 alum back to the division will be Canadian Sam “Hands of Stone” Stout (19-9-1).
McKenzie after submitting Marcus LeVesseur to scoring his 11th career win by guillotine choke, decided to move down to Featherweight. While at 145 lbs. Mckenzie would be knocked out by a body shot from Chad Mendes and then rebound to earn a decision victory over Leonard garcia.
Stout has alternated wins and losses in his last 6 fights, defeating Yves Edwards (KO), Spencer Fisher (UD), and Caros Fodor (SD); while being defeated by Thiago Tavares (UD), John Makdessi (UD), and most recently Jams Krause (SUB).
UFC on Fox 9 takes place on December 14, at the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California; and is headlined by Josh “The Punk” Thomson challenging Anthony “Showtime” Pettis for the UFC Lightweight title.
