Krause vs. Varner added to UFC 173
Lightweights Jamie “C4” Varner (21-9-1) and “The” James Krause (20-5) will tangle at UFC 173.
Varner is 1-3 in his last 4 fights being submitted by Joe Lauzon, bouncing back to split decision Melvin Guillard, losing a split decision to Gleaison Tibau; and most recently being knocked out by Able Turjillo.
Krause made his promotional debut at UFC 161 on short notice submitting Sam Stout to extend his winning streak to 8 in a row. The win streak would end in his next bout suffering a TKO loss to Bobby Green.
UFC 173 takes place on May 24 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada; headlined by Vitor Belfort challening Chris Weidman for the UFC Middleweight title.
