Orthrus Promotions Announces “TRIPLE A MMA V: REDEMPTION AT THE ROCK “
Triple A MMA returns to New Mexico, March 29th presenting “REDEMPTION AT THE ROCK” , at the Camel Rock Casino’s Rock Showroom; headlined by former King of the Cage champion Angelo “San I Warrior” Sanchez (12-5) taking on Mexico’s Gabriel “Moggly” Benitez (15-4) .
Sanchez for the 2nd time will headline are Triple A MMA card. The “San I Warrior” will be looking to end a 2 fight skid, having suffered back to back losses to Ray Borg (UD) and Desmond Green (TKO) ;that proceeded 4 fight win streak. Benitez a Jackson’s/Winkeljohn’s fighter, is coming off a TKO victory of Rey Turjillo bouncing back from consecutive submission losses to Rigo Oropeza and Richard Villa. In a combined 27 wins these men have 24 stoppages.
The co-main event will pit Andres “The Bullet” Quintana (6-1) of Luttrell’s MMA against Perez Fighting System’s Derek Perez (4-2). Quintana has been sidelined for several months recovering from an injury, but is on a 6 fight winning streak. “The Bullet last fought in June of 2013, scoring a TKO win over Cody Huard. Perez was last scene collecting a Submisson of the Night awar at Triple A MMA North vs. South, when a guillotine choke put Michael “Coca” Gallegos to sleep in the first round.
Also on the card will be a special feature No-Gi submission grappling match between Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belts
retired UFC fighter Quinn Mulhern (Gracie Barra-NM) and NAGA Heavyweight champion, retired Bellator fighter Josh Lanier (Hybrid Jiu-Jitsu). This first time ever New Mexico grappling super match is being brought to us by Combat Sport Club.
Several very talented an highly talked about amateurs will make their pro debuts as Jerome Rivera (0-0) faces Levi Lucero (0-0) at Flyweight, Natalie Roy (0-0) vs. Nikki Lowe (0-0) at Strawweight, and Joel Whittney (0-0) coming off a 1st round TKO at King of the Cage: Rumble, meets Lovato Total Fitness’s Steven Cervantes (1-0), who made a successful pro debut at Triple A MMA: Caged Hostlity.
