Tibau Out, Prazeres In Against Taisumov at UFC Fight Night 39
The injury bug has bit Gleison Tibau (28-1) who has been force to withdraw from a scheduled UFC Fight Night 38 encounter with Mairbek Taisumov (21-4).
Replacing Tibau will be fellow Barzilian Michel Prazeres (17-1) who is coming off a Lightweight debut split decision win over Jesse Ronson. Prazeres has 8 of 9 stoppage wins by submission.
Taisumov who is on a 4 fight win streak is coming off a promotional debut unanimous decision win over Tae Hyun Bang. Taisumov has 19 wins by stoppage with 10 (T)KO and 9 Submissions.
UFC Fight Night 39 takes place on March 23, at the Natal in Rio Grande Do Norte, Brazil; headlined by the 2nd meeting of Dan Henderson & Mauricio “Shogun” Rua.
