Ferguson vs. Kikuno & Edwards vs. Hallman added to UFC 173
The UFC has announce a pair of Lightweight additions to UFC 173 with Tony “El Cucuy” Ferguson (14-3) facing Katsunori Kikuno (22-5-2) and Yves “Thugjitsu Master” Edwards (42-20-1-1, nc) against Piotr Hallman (14-2).
After being sidelined for almost 17 months Ferguson the winner of TUF season 13 returned to the octagon scoring a submission victory over Mike Rio at UFC 166.
Kikuno made his promotional debut at UFC Fight Night 34, defeating Quinn Mulhern by unanimous decision; for his 6th consecutive win.
Edwards knocking out Jeremy Stephens has lost split decisions to Isaac Vallie-Flagg and Daron Cruickshank. Most recently the “Thugjitsu Master” was knocked out by Yancy Medeiros, but due to a Medeiros failed drug test that result has been changed to a no contest.
Hallman in his UFC debut submitted Francisco Trinaldo, for his 10 consecutive win. A run that would end a bout later5 with a unanimous decision loss to Al Iaquinta.
