Pitbull to Meet KO Kid in April
Facebook has been a buzz today as Chavez promotions has posted that Josh “Pitbull” Torres (13-3-2, 6 KO) and Ranee “The KO Kid” Ganoy (36-11-2, 32 KO) have agreed to a bout in April.
The date and venue for the event are not yet official.
In November of 2013 a 5 fight win streak led Josh Torres to a meeting in New York with Dusty Hernandez Harrison. Torres would end up on the losing end a of 10-round unanimous decision. Back home 6 months later at Dia De Johnny Tapia, “Pitbull” would get back in the winners circle with a 2nd round knock out of Francisco Lira. Torres will now be getting back in the ring following fighting Jose Marrufo to a draw, controversial draw.
Ganoy from the Philippines, made it to New Mexico by way of Australia, and has won 11 fights in row, with 10 coming by knock out. Ganoy made his local debut in November at Chavez Promotions “Battle at 5 Points” scoring a 6th round TKO of Shawn Gallegos.
It’s also been announced that Brandi “Baby Doll” Montoya (5-2) will be returning to the ring for the first time in two and a half years.
