Rumble at the Rock II: Cold Redemption set for February 20th
Legacy Boxing Promotions will be back with there third event and for the 2nd time at the Camel Rock Casino with “Rumble at the Rock II: Cold Redemption” on February 20th; headlined by Tony “Warrior” Valdez against Walter “Melchor” Santibanes.
Espanola NM, Valdez spent 2015 fighting 12 rounds with Gilberto Mendoza, 2 6 round affairs that both ended as split draws. The first of the two encounters took place in the main event of May 9th’s Rumble at the Rock 1 and was this site 2015 New Mexico Boxing Fight of the Year. Fopr this fight Valdez normally a Bantamweight will be moving up to Super Bantamweight
Santibanes hails from Phoenix, AZ, and has won 6 straight. Santibanes fought 5 times in 2014 including a knock out of Jorge Ruiz and a technical knock out of Rafael Rivera. In 2015, Santibanes only fought once defeating Jazzma Hogue vai 6-round majority decision, back in February.
The nights co-main event pits Jesus Xavier Pacheco against David Proa. Pacheco heads into 2016 after a undefeated 3-0 2015 that included decision wins over Damen Wood and John Herrera. Proa will be returning to the ring for the first time since a June 2011 split decision loss to Willie Villanueva; and will be looking to end a 2 fight skid.
Undefeated Jason Sanchez will be battling John “Smiley” Herrera, while brother Jose Luis Sanchez tangles with undefeated Ambricio Bautista. Also for the 1st time Legacy will have a Female math-up with Amberly Trujillo squaring off with Warrior’s Boxing’s Kristen Montano.
